Hi All

Im new here and this is my first post. Not even sure this is the correct area to post this question. I work at a Sign Shop and we do a lot of Wide Format printing. we currently have the mutoh value jet. we do a lot of reflective signs so we're looking at purchasing another printer. Ive narrowed it down to the hp365 vs the traffic jet. has anyone here has experience with any of these two? why is one double the price of the other? any info of first hand experience with these two would be much appreciated.

  • Max. 96.8 sq/ft h vs. max. 162 sq/ft h
  • Several parties that deliver parts of the solution vs. one party that provides it all and really understands your business
  • Traffic colors, Red, Blue, Green, Brown, Purple, Black + custom colors. No Yellow vs. all traffic CMSpot6 colors including Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Brown, Black, Purple + custom colors
  • ASTM Type IV Traffic colors: 10 years in all regions, on available ink colors using 1170C vs. Traffic colors: 12 years in all regions using OL1000
  • ASTM Type XI Black ink: 12 years, Traffic color ink (excluding Purple): 12 years; Purple ink 8 years vs. Traffic colors: 15 years in all regions using OL1000
  • Graffiti Cleanability Not standard. Two film applications required, 1170C Transparent, and 1160 Premium Protective Overlay Film vs. standard, included on permanent signs
In other words, a bigger bang for your bucks.
