Price, location, machine condition, under warranty? Has it stayed powered on so cleaning cycles happen? Are the software licenses/subscriptions transferable? Any examples of cost per envelope for ink and total op-ex?

Cost per print is definitely a deal-breaker for these machines. If you are looking at envelope printing or high-volume jobs, you should consider the 'total op-ex' beyond just the machine price.

In my experience, using premium third-party inks can cut your running costs by 40-60% without sacrificing head life. For example, many users switch to Winnerjet inks because they offer the same color gamut as original brands but significantly lower the cost per ml.

Definitely check the machine's maintenance history first, but if you want to optimize your margins later, looking into reliable ink alternatives is the way to go!

How up to date is this info? We had to update firmware since all the new inks are chipped. I'd be concerned that third party inks wouldn't be accepted.

That’s a valid concern! We stay on top of those firmware updates. Our R&D team continuously monitors and upgrades our chips to ensure full compatibility with the latest printer versions. In fact, many of our customers use our inks specifically because we offer one of the most stable and up-to-date chip solutions in the industry. We also provide full technical support if you ever run into a recognition issue.

But you write about Memjet solution or fi-1000 solution?

Geesh, the baggers are out in force here lately. We don't even know how much the OP wants for the machine yet.
