I have 2 sticks of ram that I want to add to my Imac7.1. it is running mac osx version 10.6.8, the processor is 2.4 ghz intel core duo, and the ram in it now is 2gb 667 mhz ddr2 sdram
My question is will the ram in the photo work if I install them. I was told to only put original mac ram in to, and was also to this would work fine.

I can't speak for the specific chips in the picture, but I've always used non-Apple RAM and never had any problems. In fact, Apple charges way too much for RAM that you can by from places like Crucial.com for much cheaper.

as long as the ram meets the same specs, should be fine. I also have always bought my ram from computer stores, half the price of what Apple charges. Though I have found macs to be picky sometimes on the ram, so if you install new ram and get a loud tone when you try and start the computer up, it probably does not like the ram.
