Hello everyone,
My name is Xavi Moles. I have been working in the graphic arts industry for over two decades, focusing on technical precision, quality control, and the evolution of printing processes.
I specialize in color management under ISO standards (such as ISO 12647) and optimizing automated workflows. My daily work involves everything from calibrating display devices and creating custom ICC profiles to meticulous imposition planning. I firmly believe in merging the respect for traditional craftsmanship with advanced digital prepress standards.
Recently, I started a technical repository called the Gutenberg Project (proyectogutenberg.blog). My goal is to share technical knowledge, preflight profiles (like Ghent Workgroup specifications), and specialized resources with the professional community to help elevate our contemporary print production standards.
I am looking forward to reading your discussions, learning from the experienced members here, and contributing wherever I can, especially in the prepress and color management sections.
If you are interested in these topics, I invite you to follow the project.
Best regards from Spain,

Xavi Moles

Welcome! But isn't there already a gutenberg project, one that aims to digitize all works where the copyright has expired so it can be freely shared? I'd click and read your link but am on a work computer so I can't at the moment. But it might be worth differentiating yourself! Maybe the Gutenberg Prepress Project :P

I love the idea though, sharing information is almost always a good thing. Though my idea of 'color management' is 'it is the color I managed to get'.

But isn't there already a gutenberg project
Yes! Project Gutenberg already exists here. @xmoles you should definitely change the name.

You also need to make your site a 'secure' domain (https) so it won't be blocked by most browsers.

From AI:
To change your blog site from HTTP to HTTPS, you need to install an SSL/TLS certificate on your web host and set up a 301 redirect to send all traffic to the secure version. Making this switch encrypts your data, protects reader privacy, and improves your search engine rankings.

But welcome to the forum. I love the idea of the site you're making. Your expertise in color management could be helpful for many here!
