Jetrix KX6 vs HP FB750

Hi,

First post so hello everybody.

We're a large format / sign / display company and are looking to buy a direct to substrate printer.

We're looking at the above 2 models as they fit within our budget, I just wanted to get some subjective opinions on which one to chose. We realise they're quite different machines and there probably isn't a right or wrong answer, we're just trying to gather as much opinion as possible to help us make a decision.

Jetrix is a true flat bed with a roll to roll option
Max sheet size = 2440mm x 1220mm
Max roll width = 2.2m
Cheap ink
Permanent white ink
2 year warranty and subsequent years at £6.5K per year
Very good quality print
Roughly 2 to 3 times quicker than the HP for similar quality

HP is a 2.5M wide hybrid
Max sheet size = 2500mm x as long as you like
Max roll width = 2.5m
Better ink adhesion than Jetrix
White ink involves switching out the Light Cyan and Light Magenta inks (£40 each way)
1 year warranty and subsequent years at £10K per year
Print quilty not as good as the Jetrix
Has to be slowed down to print without banding

It's a tough one because we're torn between the quality and speed of the Jetrix vs the unrestricted size and better ink adhesion of the HP.

They're the same price to buy but the Jetrix running costs are lower.

Anyone have an opinion? What would you do?

Thanks.

Hi Jonathan,
I cannot help you with your decision but I can offer you interesting opportunity if you'll decide to go ahead with HP:
We are HP solution partners and lately we have developed an E-Commerce solution for their HP Wallart platform that will allow you to offer end users and interior designers to use the HP Wallart platform online.
You can view it in our sample site http://hpwallart.b2cprint.com , register as a customer to try it out..
We are now implementing it in good disocunt price for early adopters with HP Latex printer in each country and I wish to present you the capabilities and give you the opportunity to become one. I believe that early adopters in each country can get a very nice market share of this huge market with nice margins!
If you wish to know more you can write here or send me email to [email protected] , thanks.
