KM 1050 pausing with MicroPress booklets

I posted in the variable data area but it may make more sense to post here. I am having an issue with the KM 1050 pausing between jobs. The MicroPress increased process time tremendously but the problem lies with the files variable data or just large PS files being printed into booklets. There is a delay between each job as the machine processes the new file of up to a minute. Memory is maxed upgrades are all there. Other products are on option Canon, the new KM 1200 but the crucial issue is ime deadlines. Currently the KM 1050 is taking close to 2 hrs to make 100 24 page books print time should only be 22 mins. I understand booklet and duplex slow it down but the delay is the pause. Goal is to get the turn around time to 30 mins. Any suggestions in engine? Does the KM 1200 process while printing and resolve this? How about the Canon 9105?

Yeah, not really micropress's cup of tea. It's more designed for building complex mixed media jobs and printing that. One would assume you have tried the embedded controller and had a similar issue? Personally I would send the entire job to the micorpress in a hold queue, wait till it's all done and then fire the whole lot down at once.

Thats exactly what we do. We've got one Micropress controller for two 1050's and everything gets dumped into the hold queue first.

You should try going into the Utility/Counter settings of the 1050, and under Admin and then "printer settings" or "copy/printer printer settings", turning on "continution print" or contines print. The books should run at full speed. I've seen this exact same thing and this should clear it up.

Hope this helps.
