We are getting a mottling effect on a brochure. 18pt C1s. Pic attached. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Clay-coated stock often has a bit of an uneven surface. Have you tried setting the stock type in that drawer as "Textured"? If so, then try turning on "Texture Correction" in the "Stabilization Adj. Setting".

Other than this issue, how has the machine been for you now that you've had it for ~2yrs? We currently have a C7090 (which we hate) and a C6085 (which we love) and will be looking to upgrade in the near future. Since the current C7100 series has been problematic, we're either considering two C12000/C14000's or switching over to Ricoh for their C9500 series.

1. Does the machine pause alot to warm up or for adjusting?
2. Does it hold color consistently throughout the run and across the sheet?
3. Consistent front-to-back alignment?
