We have the opportunity to bid on a KM cf5001 opening bid is $100, the machine has 177K impressions on it.

couple Questions:

Is it worth it to pick up this machine - Headache vs. Opportunity?

What do you think this machine is worth?

Is the output decent?

Anything else i should know about the machine?

This is quite low mileage for one of these. What rip and version, how much do you know about digital printing?

Don't know what the rip is, we are a commercial printer. We are thinking about picking it up if it is cheap. Looks like we will be purchasing a KM6501 today w/external fiery. But thought that this could make us some money if we got it super cheap.

The cf5001 is a pretty grumpy machine that needs a skilled hand to tame. If this is your first foray into digital then I would give it a miss.
