Kodak ICC profiles

Hey guys. We've been using Nexus 8.4 for a while now, and we're proofing to Epson 7600 printers. At one point, Artworks had a partnership with Kodak apparently, and we got a Kodak ICC profile that runs through Kodak CFM software. We just upgraded to Nexus 9 with a PDF workflow, and they no longer have the Kodak partnership. We had to upgrade the server, also, which had the Kodak CFM software. The ICC profile is basically DRM'd to hell, locked into the CFM software, which is activated by the network card info. I'm trying to find a way to get that ICC info, or unlock the profile from the software. Has anyone had to go through this before? If I import the profile into a basic editor, it's mostly gibberish (should be the encryption I imagine), but in starting from scratch I can't seem to match the mix colors at all. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi gdog,

So what is you goal? Get back the old ICC profile to work? OR get color ok for your proofer?
Do you have access to the old ICC profile?

Louis

Hey Louis, either goal would be good. If I can modify an ICC profile to match, I'd be happy, or getting that ICC Kodak ICC to work would be fine. We don't run really exact color, but tight enough that the only profile I've got built just won't do. And yeah, I do have access to the old profile on the old server still.

Set up either an ONYX or EFI XF workflow and have Nexus send files to in. Both of these softwares have Color Management built in and are not "proprietary" like the stuff from the guys that have Yellow Boxes for everything.
