Komori 528 infeed questions

We have just installed a Komori 528 with coater and while running a work and tumble job the feeder kept turning off. After some aggravation the installer said the problem was caused by the sensors picking up the color bar on the back side of the sheet.

He said the machine will not feed translucent sheets such as UV Ultra or dark colored sheets.

This is a problem we have never had with any of the Heidelberg presses we have owned and it is hard for me to believe a press manufacturer like Komori would build a press that will not feed a color sheet.

If anyone has some input or suggestions I would appreciate it

we had the 28 x 40 lithrone 6 color and coater we ran translucent stock and never had that problem.
and we ran colored linen cover stock with no problem. since they installed it I have them come and check the press.
the only problem we ever had with sensor was with overhead lights over the press
that caused it to stop.

Good luck

I run a 6 color litherone 28 and have same problem, its because the sensors are geeez the name not coming right now, altawave? sound right?, not lazer like heidelburgs. there is no way around it, AND DO NOT MOVE THEM!!!! They are in perfect position and very hard to get back in right position again. But in my feeder cabnet I have a double sheet detector turn off. If you turn that off and set manual double sheet you can run job. I found that out when I ran magnets hahaha.
