Komori Impression Issue

The impression on your press is pneumatically controlled, there is an air solenoid valve under the operator side catwalk which operates a small air cylinder in the impression on/off mechanism.
Will the impression go on/off with the MANUAL impression button on the unit?
if not then there is a problem with the valve or cylinder.
NOTE: your press may not have the following if it's pretty new with a touch screen on the delivery.
It is fairly common for a dirty AUTO switch contact to intermittently cause this problem, try pushing on and off the AUTO impression button on the unit and the PROOFING button (if any on the delivery of the press) several times and see if will work after that.
WARNING: older Komori presses with proofing buttons on the delivery would collect spray powder inside the button panels, make sure to NEVER! use a compressed air hose in these cabinets or any electrical cabinet, as the air will blow powder/dust into the switch and relay contacts and cause problems of epic proportions.

just out of intrest,ive never run komori but, whats the proofin button do

The PROOFING buttons were on the delivery operation panel, there is one for each unit, with the printing units set in AUTO, (impression, ductor, dampener) you can turn off/on units with the proofing buttons, although not while running at fast speeds. More of a makeready tool I would say.
