Konika C8000 or Presstek DI 34/52??

Hi guys,

Our team currently have a Konika 6500 and going to move to a much much bigger warehouse and we have been sending too many jobs outsource and we are definitely getting one of these bad boys.
Any one has pros and cons using Presstek DI34?
I know the price is twice as konika c8000 but is it worth gettin?

DI is a offset printing press, if you have lots of static over 500-1000 runs then it would be better then any digital press, HOWEVER, and this is a big but, you will have to get a grumpy press operator to run it, because you will not be able to learn it unless you have offset press experience, very hard...

dealing with presstek is #1 issue, high maintenance costs, needing a real pressman.

That said it mixed world you need both a KM 7000 at min for the ondemand and under 1500 runs + the DI or traditional press with CTP to play in the over 1000 market.

Well, what are you outsourcing and what are the numbers? what are you printing inside and what are the numbers? what is the possibility of expansion for either new machine.
