Laser or GLV failing?

Good day,

I'm trying to ascertain whether one of the lasers or the GLV is failing on our 8800ii.
The LD status has been fluctuating over the past few days with the R(L) constantly diminishing, last reading was:
R(U) 48
C(U) 10
R(L) 11
C(L) 10

Performing a GLV DIAG returns CALSENS: OK, GLV: NG, but I'm not if this is because the laser may not be functioning correctly. A laser calibration returns a Exposure Head error.
I've attached results for the GLV tests and GLV on (2) does not look good.

Is there a way to isolate which could be faulty?

regards

Try with laser head cleaning. But clean everything very very good. Next perform a laser calibration and see if there is some improvement. Do you have banding on the plate. Does VP41 (air pump) supplies the necessary air in the laser head and in form of the final optics?

Hi,
I have some remarks here.
About the LDStatus
A : THe laser current is now 10 ( 50 A ) , which is rather high.
This confirms the possibility that you have dirt inside, or outside , the RH.
B : There is an imbalance between U & L.
It would be nice to know if this difference changed recently.
We expect the Reserve for U & L to decrease simultaneously and slowly oer time.
So if they were equal 6 months ago, I would defnilty think about the L laser.

About the GLV:
ON2 levels are indeed high , which causes the GLV NG diag.
Usually this is related to the GLV , very rarely to one of the Lasers.
I would like to know what happens when you run this ON2 in single LD mode ?
Definitly something to try if you suspect a bad laser , like in point B above.

Conclusion :
Very likely caused by the GLV itself, small chances it is by one of the lasers.

Action plan :
Clean , clean and clean the optics.
If this does not help , replace GLV.

Thanks for the responses. The optics have been cleaned 4 times and I've kept a record of the LD status over the past week. After cleaning the final lens cover the readings were much better:
R(U) 58
C(U) 10
R(L) 25
C(L) 10

As you can see the R(L) is still very low and has been fluctuating between 30 and 15. The techs believe it's the GLV so that will be swapped out first.
