- Preference for inkjet and not laser printing machine.
- Investment under 100k$ :) need small one foresting market and technology

And i'm asking my self, there is a way to transform one of our konica c108 machine to roll to roll machine ?

thanks,

No on the Konica C1085 converting to a label printer. KM has two label presses to choose from. One is their high volume unit which is well over your budget called the AccurioLabel 230. (You might be able to still get the predecessor for closer to your budget which is the AL 190.) The 230 is toner based and doesn't require pre-treated media. But to stay under your budget, they offer the PLS-475i which is inkjet. It can print on pre-die cut material, or uncut rolls and then you run through a separate finisher. KM has a few different finishers to choose from. For your budget, the PLS401 would work just fine. It uses a drag knife for the kiss-cutting, so you don't have to buy dies. It also laminates. Info on all units can be found at this link: Digital Label Press - Industrial Printers | Konica Minolta

@slimbh if your support provider could pick and refurb a C71cf - KM's first generation continuous feed models which developed into AccurioLabel, that would now be well under your budget, enabling you to dip your toe in the water so to speak.
Just a thought... and maybe what you've already seen during research leading to your thoughts of "converting" a C1085!

From our experience, we believe that toner based technology is not suitable for roll to roll printing. for exemple in accuriolabel, tech recommended to always print on maximum width to avoid transfer, fuser and drum scratching. Also KM fuser tends to overheat which poses problem on synthetic substrate such PP ...

So we chose to look for inkjet technology. As inkjet treated materiel is not available yet in our country, UV inkjet will be our only choice but as we search for affordable machine. It's too expensive and over our budget.

Look into a Colordyne 2800 Mini Laser Pro. Colordyne sells preowned units starting at $120k, so you may be able to find a used unit directly from an owner for under $100k. It is a self-contained label factory that inkjets onto plain finish label stock (Memjet), overlaminates, and then laser die cuts the labels in a single pass.
