Media for stickers

Hi There,

We are in searching for the correct media to print stickers placed on clothes, lunch boxes, shoes, backs etc. The stickers are used for kids in school, sports etc. No ironing or sewing, just peel off, and stick on a clean surface. Needs to be Waterproof, washing machine and tumble-drier & microwave safe, UV resistant. Can anybody help about a media solving all?

Best regards Tommi / Dezignprint.com

Hi Tommi
Stickers are normally Self adhesive vinyl. Check with 3M & Avery Dennison, they both have several options.
HP's Media locator is also a very good source for information https://www.printos.com/ml/#/medialocator
But, I do not think you will find a media that fits all of your criteria.
There is also a lot of restrictions when it comes to kids and food containers that you need to consider.

Hello Tommi,

I would agree that Avery Dennison is a good place to start. If they don't make it, it's probably not out there.

But shop around. There is also Raflatac and Herma

You will need to think about specific stickers for specific functions.

PSA Fabric Labels can be applied to cloth and can be washed and tumble dryed. They are used over the top of the sewn in washing instructions in your clothes to cover up and correct mis-prints. However, it is not going to look good on a lunch box.

Shoe's are especially difficult. One label might stick like to cement to one shoe yet fall off another shoe made with different materials. Expect to do lots of testing and trials to get what you need.
