Mitsubishi platemaker question

Does anyone have an idea of the going price range for a used Mitsubishi Eco iiir platemaker in very good condition?

They are going for "not much". Since Offset Printing is going away in small shops, there are more and more of these that are sitting in warehouses and even just being scrapped. I bought a used one 8 years ago for $2500 and since then picked another up (as a backup) for free. Ive seen several more for sale for under $1000 over the past couple years.

@Bobk
You won't believe it, there are new SDP-Eco 1630 IIIRz devices existing in Japan equipped with a current SDP-RIP v13 on sale by Mitsubishi Distributor Diamic. Ask Mitsubishi Imaging near NYC, if they sell these devices in the U.S.
Here in Europe Distributor Atécé is even selling the bigger and also new Fredia Eco Wz devices.

This device is a capstan (flat) photographic laser imaging device.
So the light sensitive emulsion on the polyester base needs wet chemical processing.
I think several small printers converted to toner-based poly plates being made on a laser printer. No light sensitivity, no wet chemical processing. Quality and run length acceptable for most jobs.
