Have a small dilemma. Sorry if this is long...
I am in the market for a press. looking @ 14X20 size.
I currently print my work on a 40 inch press, all of which is gang-run style products (Business cards, postcards etc) I am occupying presently well over 1 shift, almost 2 shifts on my suppliers 40 inch, per day
I want to bring some of the work in-house. Looking to keep the press busy simply 1 shift per day, 5 days a week. I still want to give work out to not burn bridges with my current suppliers.
Now that the intro is done...
I have been offered a Hamada 552, 5 Color with Coater at a very good price. The vendor has also guaranteed a buy back of the machine in 2 years time (Should I purchase a new machine from him)
Will this press be able to print descent quality jobs, nothing complicated really, no solids usually as this is gang run postcards.
How reliable is it? Make Ready times... descent?
