Older Cutwerx Digital die cutter -- HELP

Picked up one second hand, but its no longer supported by Cutwerx.
Jei-Wei in China made it and offers some support but time zone and language issues still have us unable to operate

Any Cutwerx experts available for paid tech support to help us get operational? Main issue seems to be camera's not registering/connecting

Since Cutwerx no longer supports those systems, your best bet is probably to approach it from the JWEI side since they were the OEM manufacturer behind many of those machines. If the issue is specifically the registration camera not connecting, there’s a good chance this is still solvable remotely through:
  • driver/configuration, firmware mismatch, camera communication, or calibration software.
I’d strongly suggest:
  • contacting JWEI directly via WhatsApp/video support,
  • posting in Signs101,
  • and searching LinkedIn/Facebook groups for former flatbed cutter service techs familiar with JWEI/Colex/Zünd/Kongsberg systems.
A lot of older digital cutter problems today are software/communication related rather than actual hardware failure.

That’ll help narrow down whether it’s:

Yeah, we’ve had multiple remote sessions with the folks in China, but between the time difference and some language issues, we haven’t been able to have a real time conversation to resolve the issue.

They keep logging in and changing this and adjusting that but it doesn’t change the problem or it creates a different one. It’s been very frustrating and after several months we still aren’t able to use it.

That’s why I was hoping I could find someone domestically who had to know how.
