We are trying to "nest" boxes in XMƒ by overlapping the pages in the impo.
We are losing bleed where they overlap. Does anyone know how to override this to allow bleed?
You can see the Green bleed line and there is art extended but does not work when overlapping.
As far as I know, there is no fix for this in XMF. I have called support and they don't have a fix. For anything we have to nest I impose in illustrator at the sheet size and bring that into XMF. Its a pain, but it works.
We do the same thing but in Indesign.
We have some clients that only see a 1 up proof.
We try to avoid sending a pdf as a proof that has not gone through xmf.
Meaning dropping an imposed pdf into xmf for print and sending an entirly (1up) different file for email proof.
The same file should go to print and sent to the client as proof.
We've had some luck imposing nested items in xmf but you have to lie on the page size to include bleed.
We figure out the coordinates and overlap them but the math is a pain.
Couldn't you build the bleed into the bottom of the overlapping image that is above it. So that the page that overlaps includes the bleed for the page below it. Or is it variable?
