According to Swedbrand Group, plant-based adhesives have a number of advantages over animal-based adhesives:
- Made from plants, they have a smaller environmental footprint than livestock;
- Dextrine adhesives use much less energy, functioning at 30ºC to 38ºC / animal-based glues require temperatures of up to 70ºC;
- Adhesive containers can remain open without solidifying: reducing waste & streamlining production;
- Glued products are just as durable & show no visible difference when compared to products glued with traditional animal-based adhesives;
- Dextrine water-based, adhesives function with a wide variety of machines.
