Paddy Wagon wont stay clamped

I have an old paddy wagon and over time it has become worn and the clamps slide up the bars when you put pressure on the pads. Does anyone have a solution for this? I thought maybe paint or brush some superglue on the vertical bars to help give it some grip?

check your springs in the clamp to see if they are broken. take out and flip the silver rings over or google for new clamps and replace

If your Paddy Wagon is like ours and the clamp looks like the photo that old guy posted... It is a simple pipe clamp that can be purchased at most any big box home supply like Home Depot. You just need to know what size pipe you have on your paddy wagon. they make them for 3/4" (most likely) or 1/2" steel pipe. The problem is you have to purchase both of of the clamp, but they are less than $15 for the set.
