Panel to panel bleed - whats the terminology?

I am trying to find a technical term to describe the "sliver" caused by shifts during slitting which can cause a "sliver" of the right side one panel to end up on the left side of the panel next to it. This could also happen top to bottom, during filling of packaging where tolerances in a pillow poucher could cause a sliver of the bottom of one bag to end up on the top of the bag below it.

besides the term "insufficient bleed" - seems like this is a dead cut ( that is, you are not having bleed ) and the registration is off.

Manufacturing errors are probably common when you perform dead cuts ( because you don't want waste ) - with a dead cut there is zero tolerance for error - but in a high volume job, that save money.

Probably not a term for that other than "crappy registration"

butt cut = no gutter only bleed if same color bleeds both sides so the variations in production can't be noticed.
