I've recently made the leap from Pitstop Pro 7.51 to 11. Although generally pleased with the transition I've been unable to locate the 'Touch up object tool' or it's equivalent. Is there a way of editing an image from a PDF in photoshop and saving back into the PDF in Pitstop Pro 11?

That's actually an Acrobat feature, i'm guessing you also made the jump to Acrobat X or XI and are a bit lost?

It's in the right hand tools panel of Acrobat,>Content>Edit Object>select the object>'right click' edit image

why are you doing touch ups in acrobat or any plugins?
you don't have to answer that.

When receiving PDFs with many images and one needs retouching the old touch up object tool was very handy, it opens image in photoshop to allow changes and then saves back into the PDF. Hope I'm not teach granny.

oh sweet, i've never used that.

The same thing (using the touch up tool) works for vector objects as well. If you use the touch up tool on a vector object, it will open up Illustrator and you can edit the object and save it back into the pdf.
