Hello,

My Platerite 8600 acts funny, some plates are burnt easily, but sometime it kicks off the plate out saying mechanical error. Its an error related to punch but not sure how to handle this.
Any suggestions?

Is it happening with both 0.3 and 0.15 gauge plates?

We had a problem with thiner plates not loading consistently, problem was resolved by adjusting the loading table - it was slightly lower on one side causing the plate to catch on a ridge when loading.

Also make sure the plates do not have bent edges or corners before loading them.

Check if your plate front edge is wavy. The PT-R might have trouble punching (and loading) plates with an edge wave higher than 1.5 to 2 mm.
Method of measuring is:
place plate on flat table, plate coating facing up.
measure height of the front edge over the table with a sliding caliper.
If the plate elevation over the table is higher than 2mm, then you've probably found the cause for the trouble.
