Preps Collation Mark

How can we have more than one collation mark on a sheet? For example, we have say 10 - 16 page forms with one collation mark on the spine of each one, but the last form is an 8 pager 2 up on the sheet. I have a collation mark on one of them, but Preps won't let me put one on the spine of the other. I tried copy and paste and also OK and Duplicate. Nothing happens, so our bindery has been getting collation marks on half of them when that situation arises. Thanks, mark

can you create an .eps file that's 1/8" x 1/8" with the sig number in it and place it as an independent mark (like you would a color bar) instead of using the collation mark feature?

or, when creating the pdf for the sig in question, add a mark in the actual quark or indesign file in the bleed area of the page you want the mark next to?

oxburger, After reading your reply, it helped me get un-stuck. I decided to just make a black eighth inch wide rectangle static mark and place it in the correct position. It doesn't have the number in it, but it will work. Thanks for your reply.
