Hey out there,
New member here, love the site! We have a SM102 we are getting ready to run some 24pt. board through for the first time. Needing to know if there are any necessary steps to do so other than adjusting headstops and guide plates? I couldn't find anything in the manual.

Thanks
Ronnie:)

If you are adjusting your headstops ( front lays ) if you have an old press then there is also the infeed ( ranger ) drum, use the cardboard section of the adjusting tool to open up the grippers and also the sidelay guide plate to raise to make sure the sidelay pulls the sheet over.
All this information will be in the manual.

if the press is not a cd id suggest you try to run grain long paper. also if the press is equiped with super blues you may want to dust off the ends and the tail of the super blues as a heavy sheet like that will surely dislodge dried in from the ends and tail. on older speedmasters im thinkin that you will require maximum feeder blast and maximum feeder suction along with the heavy board suckers that mr heidelberg suggested. The board suckers i refer to are not just the larger rubber disks but also the plastic suckers that the rubber disks go on to.
