RP Graphics Group, a Print & Communications company in Mississauga Ontario, is seeking a Print Manufacturing Manager / Print Production Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position are to manage the press room plus oversee the operations of the bindery, finishing, and shipping divisions to ensure they align with the business objectives of the organization. The successful candidate's principal goal must be to implement operating standards in keeping with best industry practices and in compliance with all Health and Safety standards and regulations.

The Print Manufacturing Manager will schedule and direct all daily print operational activities of RP Graphics Group.
Accountabilities include:
Production Management
- Manage the daily press room schedule and establish the workflow with prioritization and load balancing for 24/7 shifts
- Work with the Bindery/Finishing Supervisor on an ongoing basis to ensure that the production workflow is supported with the highest degree of efficiency
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance and maintenance of all established standards and procedures
- Work with the sales team and clients on planning and scheduling of special projects
- Develop and implement a consistent method of communication across all shifts
- Monitor, manage and analyze established metrics, inventory and profitability of jobs
- Meet all customer commitments through the production of timely, efficient and high quality products and services
- Provide strong leadership to all staff in the production facility. Encourage an atmosphere of creativity and strategic thinking with the consistent goal of a great customer experience
- Follow systems and procedures outlined in all company and operating manuals
- Ensure company policies & procedures, including Health and Safety, are strictly adhered to
- Be willing and able to follow and run print production processes as required
- Foster an environment of cross-training and skill development throughout the operations team
Position Requirements
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Print Management or equivalent experience in the industry
- 3+ years experience in print management and workflow scheduling
- Knowledge of Bindery and Finishing Processes
- Previous Management experience in the print industry of a team complement of 15 or more
- Have a working knowledge of operations including an automated workflow system for digital, litho and large format production
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, knowledge of both Windows and Mac environments
- Experience with a Management Information System (MIS)
- Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge and experience to contribute to our company's strategies for production efficiency and growth
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma processes, an asset
