Product Manager, Packaging Market Responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing customer needs, defining the product vision and working closely with the factory, sales, sales administration and marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The product manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Job Responsibilities:
• Determine the product strategy and roadmap
o Define product specifications to meet the needs of packaging market
o Work with Komori factory to ensure product features satisfy market requirement
o With marketing and sales determine promotion plan and product roll out strategies
• Work with external third parties to assess partnership opportunities
• Research competition and define Komori’s value proposition
• Analyze, research and recommend pricing strategy for Komori products and services
o Understand competitor pricing to ensure Komori products and services are competitive in the marketplace and to ensure maximum profitability
o Work with service department to design revenue generating service programs
• Work with R&D and demonstration center to ensure product demonstrations support the product and sales strategy
• Act as the packaging advocate for the Komori sales team
o Develop high level presentations on Komori packaging offerings to enable field sales to make introductory product presentations
o Act as a resource for market and product information
• Participate in industry events as Komori knowledge leader in packaging market
Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree and/or Master’s degree preferred
• 5-10 years experience in packaging industry with a product management focus
• Technical and solution experience in the print & packaging industry
Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Demonstrates expert knowledge of packaging and print packaging solutions
• Leverages KAC solutions to support customer strategic directions, creating extensive customer business value
• Applies deep understanding of technical innovations & trends to solving customer business problems
• Demonstrated ability to work as the lead for large complex projects
• Has demonstrated hands-on level skills with some of the technology
