Provides leadership and direction for improvement of systems, technical and infrastructure processes across the global organization. Develops, plans and manages deployment of capital expansion, capability, productivity or cost reduction projects to meet Company objectives. Organizes and coordinates multiple Platform/Plant Project teams (operations and engineering), to meet financial results and timeline. Resolves priority issues and conflicts and works through all levels of the organization to remove barriers to progress. Develops, monitors, and implements standardized Best Practice projects and processes - company wide.

Duties and Responsibilities
Work with manufacturing teams to modify existing equipment and/or production requirements to improve safety, maintenance, quality and/or productivity.
Evaluate processes for efficiency and organizes, focuses and facilitates teams to work on improvement of systems in high payback areas, as determined by LSC strategy.
Establish critical links into performance tracking and management reporting systems for key operational and financial metrics related to performance.
Drive standardization of processes across the platform.
Advise on level of compliance with industry and Federal standards including FM Global, NFPA, NEC
Act as a Lead and Technical resource to other LSC facilities as required, participating in Cross Platform Teams focusing on engineering and EHS solutions.
Troubleshoot and diagnose production and quality problems and recommend best business solutions.
Develop a thorough knowledge of equipment and materials used in the facility, including pollution control devices. Maintain oversight of new materials and management of change practices.
Work closely with division management, Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety and Legal to administer EHS programs, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local EHS regulations.
Oversee division platform emission control devices including Solvent Recovery, Thermal Oxidizer and Waste Water treatment systems.
Demonstrate ability to handle multiple project assignments with minimal supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned by management representatives within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
Maintain up-to-date drawing files, asset specifications, and equipment capabilities.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Requirements
BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
3 – 5 years related experience
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles with a strong focus on industrial safety
Understanding of EPA regulatory agencies & environmental management systems and reporting (Tier II, Form R, air emissions, water discharges)
Experience in one or more of the following areas with ability to learn other areas – energy, materials, prepress, press, finishing, digital, etc.
Strong Project Management Skills
Microsoft Proficiency – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Knowledge of AutoCad and MicroSoft project.
Experience in Information/Control Systems.
Proven project leadership skills
Strong communication skills; both verbally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills
Some Travel required

Preferred:
Experience in Environmental Health/Science or related field
Appropriate professional certification(s), such as P.E., Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), Registered Environmental Manager (REM), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
Working knowledge of ISO/ Six Sigma/PVR/Other CI methodologies a plus.
