The Product Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of sales and marketing support for Post Press products, such as Sheetfed die cutting equipment. This includes directly working with sales teams as well as business planning and implementation, support and evaluation, demonstration support, training and application development, market positioning, competitive analysis, etc. for Post Press equipment. The Product Manager will develop and implement strategic initiatives and marketing plans for existing and/or new products that are consistent with the company’s sales, profit, service and product mix goals. The Product Manager will manage all aspects of product lifecycle.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:


•Responsible for driving sales revenue for the product line through the sales force and sales management. Successful accomplishment includes training/education of the sales force and sales management, participating in sales calls, identifying targets, developing sales strategies, developing marketing strategies within the prescribed budget, and any other tasks required to achieve sales and market share goals.


•Work directly with KBA North America Sales Team to present Post Press Products to customers/prospects.


•Direct liaison between KBA North America and our manufacturer/s on all items such as pricing, product features and benefits, USP’s, competitive positioning, third party options and accessories, etc.


•Acquires, interprets, and evaluates information and trends within industry and functional area of expertise to perform job responsibilities.


•Monitor and analyze market trends to capitalize on business opportunities within product line(s).


•Seek opportunities within product line(s) to meet or exceed revenue goals, profit margin, cost savings or to increase customer satisfaction, productivity, or efficiencies.


•Develop and implement sales supports tools including product positioning, competitive analysis, ROI, SWOTs, USP’s, F+B’s, samples, collateral material, show and event coordination, association participation and all marketing campaigns for product line(s).

•Work with equipment manufacturers and associated suppliers to maximize sales potential.


•Develop training curricula for product line(s) for necessary staff such as sales team, parts team, service team, etc.


•Recommend sales programs, promotions, incentives, product packaging, pricing and campaigns for product line(s).


•Qualify, analyze, and quantify data obtained from market research and prepare recommendations for management.


•Develop trade show presentations, coordinate press releases, and case history studies.


•Participate in training seminars, trade shows, and industry events.


•Travel with sales staff, corporate and guest personnel


•Attain speaker status at market specific trade shows.


•Attend national and regional sales meetings to promote, present, and train on printing hardware and software.


•Performs other duties to support the whole Marketing team, as assigned.


Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED-equivalent required; but post-high school degree in print, graphic arts, marketing, and/or product management is preferred.

Experience: Minimum five (5) years related work experience in outside sales and/or product management of post-press equipment in the folding carton market or similar market.


Computer Skills: Intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

•Demonstrates an understanding of the Post Press products and services.
•Outside sales and/or product management experience.
•Good customer service skills with attentive listening, ability to ask the right questions for clarification, and prompt response.
•Models a “Think Customer First” work style. Listens and responds to customer needs. Strives to exceed customer’s expectations. Provides world-class service and deliverables by understanding the customer (internal and external) and the environment.
•Good verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate complex technical information to people with varying degrees of technical knowledge and ability.
•Collaborative team member with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with external customers and other internal resources such as Sales, Service, Parts, Remote Maintenance, and Factory Staff.
•Ability and willingness to travel nearly 50% with frequent air travel domestically and some international for training, consecutive overnight stays, and some evening and weekends as deemed necessary for business to accommodate customer.
•Plans time, priorities, and staff in an effective manner to achieve goals for sustainable results that contribute to the organization’s strategy.
•Takes pride in the quality of work performed. Contributes ideas for improving service, product, or processes.
•Uses open and constructive communication with customers, managers, co-workers, and other business partners. Respects and values the differences of others for a collaborative workplace. Uses positive communication and listing skills to manage conflict.

•Valid motor vehicle license.
