Purchased toner in metered printer

Since no one can get CMYK toner for Xerox Iridesse metered printers at the moment, Has anyone used purchased CMYK toner in one? Wondering if they are chipped different?

I had a Xerox phaser 7500 on a service contract…much different but I did experience metered vs purchased toner. You can use either in a metered contract machine (set in firmware) but you can’t use metered toner in a non contracted machine. So I would expect it should work in your case.
