Quadient / Neopost Support

Does anyone have a number to reach a live human being at Quadient? Apparently the machine I bought 2nd hand is still registred to the prior owner and they wont even let me set up an account without the machine be registered to me, but the slimebag who sold it to me says that's my problem.
The local Quadient dealers wont service machines they didnt sell.

Nothing says success like excellent customer service. (SNARK)
TBF mailing software and hardware has had a heck of a ride this last decade.

Is this some type of postage application (metering) piece of equipment?

If so, you may be SOL. Any company that deals with the dispensing of USPS postage (Including Quadient) is obligated to follow a lot of Federal reporting and regulations with regard to monitoring and control of those funds.

I would think that whatever degree of success you may have would be to contact someone way higher up in corporate headquarters or national help desk.

It has one of those too but its the folder/inserter that is my main interest/concern.

is quite the shady character. When I bought it, I asked if he had a tech taht could come do the install and training. He said he could make that happen for me. Turns out, he is just a broker -- doesnt have a mail operation. What he "meant" was he would have the local Quadient dealer come do it. Well, there are only two in my area. One says they dont service systems they dont sell. Finally got the other one to come out and after a few hours they determined not all the parts were present and they are unable to service this unit going forward.

I tried to get tech support from Quadient, but they wont talk to me because the machine is still registred to its original owner. To get it registered to me, I have to purchase a registration from one of the dealers in my area, who can come activate the machine/software. But both of them already said they wont service my machine.

Quadient doesnt have an installation guide or parts list, so I have no idea what parts may or may not be needed, plus those parts can only be ordered by a dealer, neither of which will offer service.

Needless to say, Ill be seeing Mr. Westbrook in court sometime in the new year.

What a nightmare!

I have a Pitney Bowes DI950 and I'm not a fan of these folder inserters. They have too many places where things can go wrong and they seem to have a limited life span. At least Pitney Bowes sells me parts to keep it running. I wish I could have found a nice swing arm inserter years ago when I needed the inserter. They may not look pretty but the swing arm inserters will run forever and parts and service would be more reasonable than a folder inserter.

Had a situation close to this one last year. We bought a used DS600 Folder /nserter and ended up spending 10K for a install by our local quadient dealer. It was deemed at install that machine was complete and in good working order so they decided they would service it for us. Although they were hesitant at first because what Lineage is the main dealer in our area.

Not sure if they can help but worth a shot.

I also wanted to say i too am frustrated with Quadient overall. We should at least have some type of end user customer service with them.

ill give him a call to see what he has to say. In the meantime, could you send me a photo of the 3 ports on the back of the machine and what they each connect to? I think that is my hardware issue. Also, what did you have to do to get the machine re-registered for you to use? Quadient tells me a dealer has to sell me a registration....seems odd for a piece of equipment that can operate on its own. [email protected]

It gets worse....the in state Quadient dealers wont sell me a $40k envelope printer because they dont want to be responsible for setting up and servicing the main unit.

A good right to repair law would fix this bs. I think I would dump the Quadient and move on.
LoL - Best to pepper the blogs, trade press etc. with relevant negative comments to keep people from buying ADDITIONAL NEW BOAT ANCHORS.
Sigh.
R2R would take maybe a decade or more to litigate IF it existed. The lawyers are the only ones who make money.
Not cynical.
Just practical.
Caveat Emptor.

And my Dad was a lawyer . . .

What the heck. I would also recommend ditching Quadient. Those envelope printers they sell are just rebadged Formax printers anyway.

If you need to go memjet/inkjet, you can look at iJetColor too.

I would find an actual production press/copier dealer in your area and reach out to them because they will more than likely have a service program that can support the equipment they sell. If they don't sell exactly what you're looking for, they will probably know where to point you.

I would spend the time going up the chain at corporate Quadient / Neopost to find someone that can help get it under service for you. Going the attorney route could just end up taking more money out of your pocket.

Hello, there are almost 30 states that have or are in the process of writing right to repair laws. There will be no gain if everyone sits on their duff and complains about how long it would take to resolve the issue. A simple worded letter/email to your state and or federal representative is all you need to do to keep it moving, and no attorney needed. Sigh.

A friendly warning to anyone that wants to buy a used folder/inserter. There are two ways to buy one of these folder/inserter. Buy it from a local supplier that is going to set it up and service it or buy it from someone else very cheap and plan on putting a lot of time and money into it, and you better be good at mechanical and electronic repairs. Otherwise, all these are just boat anchors. They will never come close to the reliability and ease of repair of a swing arm inserter.

Amen! B&H or Phillipsburg!

When I was still in the biz, you could always count on the swing-arm. At one point, we were using 50 year old ones and they would still run circles around all the others.

Not to mention ease of repair. If you couldn't figure it out yourself, there were always 3rd party guys who could fix. If you couldn't find them, you could always get B&H to fix. Just was a little costlier.
