Question about Silkoseal

Hello everybody!

My question is about Silkoseal. What kind of varnish is it? I read their homepage: Shackell Edwards - Silkoseal but didn't get any good answer. It is a vegetable oilbased varnish but what makes it dry so quicky as they say? If somebody has any experience with Silkoseal, please let me know.

Hello Hannes, Silkoseal is a "Water -Based Overprinting Dispersion Varnish"

Shackell Edwards is a UK based Printing Ink Manufacturer, Hannes just Google ----

"Overprinting Dispersion Varnishes" or OPVs

Thanks Mr. Senefelder,

but are you sure that it is water-based dispersion? It is offered in cartridges and 2,5 kg tins. Also it is duct-suitable.

Do you have an experience with it?

Ooooops !

Ooooops !

Hello Hannes,

Oooops -- sorry thinking about a different product from Shackell Edwards, not Silkoseal
