Repeatedly getting low spots on our abdick 360.

We've got a very old abdick 360 that runs great in every way except its been getting low spots in the blanket after very few impressions. This is the press I learned on an and I'd hate to get rid of it. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.

Did you changed the blanket manufacturer recently. Post a picture of the blanket with low spots or a press sheet.

Is the low spot in the same place all the time? If it is then its probably a blanket cylinder. Pull some solid prints to correctly identify which cylinder and location. If its not too bad it could be a fix you can do yourself. I have used patches, plastic metal and even thick coats of metal paint to repair cylinders. If its too deep then get a professional to fix it. If the press is worth keeping and its affecting your print quality its worth the fix.
Good luck

On an AB Dick you should be using a compressible blanket. Check to be sure that's what you have. It's generally stamped on the back of the blanket, or check your invoice. I wouldn't go crazy with patching cylinders until you check the simplest options.
It's quite normal for a blanket to sort of flatten out after you've used it for a few thousand impressions. Assuming your cylinder pressures are set properly, you can pack the blanket. Pack the blanket with something like a tissue paper. That's all that should be needed. I've seen people shoving 20 and even 70lb paper behind their blanket to solve this issue. Don't do that! If you have a pack of metal plates they are often separated with tissue paper. Use that. It's all you need. Or packing sheets can be ordered from your local supplier.
Use the pressure adjustment. Back it off when running envelopes or heavier paper. That's that little allen key hole that's just under the flywheel thing.
