Hi all the Guru's here, I need some advise from you all. My company is planning to buy a new digital printer to compliment our current offset printing business. Between this two model which one can provide me with the best print quality? I also notice that there is a difference between Ricoh imagine unit and KM imagine unit. Ricoh is using roller imagine but KM is using belt imagine unit. what is the advanteges and disadvantages of the two. Thank you in advance for all the advise.

The Ricoh has four drums and an image transfer belt just like every other machine so I don't know what you mean by "roller imagine"

You really just should try them both and see what you like better.

it is my bad. It should be transfer Roller vs transfer Belt. What are the difference between both? is it very critical point for me to consider if it is regarding the print quality??

The Ricoh has a roller under the paper but the part that actually does the transfer is a roller inside the image transfer belt that pushes the toner onto the paper. I don't know what the konica has but if it is a belt with a pull type system other machines like that I have worked on just have a roller under a belt that pulls the toner onto the paper. The new thing on the Ricoh is the AC transfer power supply which is intended to improve transfer on textured media. I haven't been able to try it much so I can't say how it works.

There are a ton of variables that will impact image quality bottom line is who cares how it works what matters is if you are happy with the output so I would demo both machines and compare. Be sure to try a variety of media or at least everything you print on now.
