Roland CJ-500 problem

I have a CJ-500 printer/cutter I picked up and the carriage wire had came off the head. I fixed that and reset the stop but now when it gets to what paper is loaded no matter what I choose it starts then shuts down with
"INTERNAL ERROR: MSeperate_dispatch:mistake to separate print carriage"
I've tried looking in the service manual and where else I can think of. Any help would be appreciated

The head is not separating from the cutter,
Did you adjust the pressure on the carriage wire?
I haven't adjust the pressure on the carriage wire. I was thinking since I just re attached the wire to the head that it would be okay but I'll try that. I wasn't sure if that would cause that error or not. Thank you

I believe I have that problem fixed but now the head moves about 1/3 of the way down then it stops and the "Motor Error" pops up.

I did but I didn't have any isopropyl alcohol. When I get some I will report back. Thank you so much for your guidance
