What would be the recommended interval for optics cleaning and any preventive maintenance for this kind of CTP in a low use shop in a climate controlled, clean room? It's been a couple of years since our last cleaning but we've only put around 5,000 plates thru it in that amount of time.

Thanks for any info

It also depends on the plate type, ie, Kodak, Fuji. Some plates ablate more than others and can coat the final lens more quickly.

Yes, I remember hearing that about some plates, we are using Fuji, which don't have much of that at all I don't think.

You are correct, the Fuji plates don't ablate much, but there is still some.
Wouldn't hurt to inspect the final lens about once a month.
If it were my machine, I would check it every time I cleaned the external air filter.
Much cheaper than replacing lasers.

Gramann is absolutely right!
But if you set the correct laser power, the ablation will be low.
Once a month just for checking is ok, but cleaning more rare :)
