Screening NEXUS 9.0

Hello

We always define our screening in ArtPro. Normally Nexus doesn't change it during the flow.
But 9.0 uses the default settings.

Concretely. We changed the angle of cyan, default 15°, on one object to 45°. There were no problems in Nexus 8.6, but in 9.0 the result was 15°.

Do we have to change something in our settings/prefs or did we forget something during the installation?

Thx in advance...

No problems here.

Just check that your workflow is set to 'Full Control in PDF' and that should follow the ArtPro screening.

hi

Can you check that in your ArtPro file the padlocks are open in the Nexus Parameters?

The padlocks for the Nexus parameters have no influence on this.
But if you are exporting PDF from Artpro or you are using a workflow that will open the AP file, export a PDF and RIP it, then make sure the option "include screening" is enabled for Export PDF.

For separated PostScript the screening is always included.

The RIP needs to be set to "Full Control in PS" (or PDF), "Angle Control in ...", "Ruling Control in ..." or "Angle/Ruling Control in ...". Depending on what screening settings you want to use from the file.

You haven't said want type of screening you are setting. Ie in AP are you using PS screening or Extended Nexus screening. You shouldn't be using Nexus screening unless your Nexus is older than version 8.0.

I also have you tried this in NX 9.0.1 which has just been released. The release notes mention something about screening. Can't remember now and not got it to hand.

I asked Esko and it isn't fixed in Nexus 9.0.1. But now they are working on this problem and it will be good in revision 9.0.2. Appearantly it was a bug...

Let's hope that rev2 will do it.
