NPC is positioning itself as an integrated communication solutions firm in the B to B and non-profit sector. We are seeking people with the ability to sell an integrated solution set of our entire portfolio of products and services. The ultimate goal is to create a single source solution in environments that are relying on multiple vendors.
Integrity, honesty, positive chemistry with various levels and functions of NPC and a customer’s organization, self motivation and direction, professionalism, accountability, and adherence to company values are required.
This is a solutions oriented selling position requiring business knowledge, relationship building, the ability to perform in depth assessments of a customers business challenges (full understanding of customers day to day business environment through customers eyes), and determination of match with NPC’s strengths and core capabilities. Identifying, communicating, selling, and ultimately closing on opportunities a must.
Focus must be on profits rather than revenue. Experience with value selling techniques (customer ROI) is desirable. Selling on price is not.
Ideal candidate has experience selling an integrated solution set of products and services. This primarily consists of data/ document management, digital/ offset print, mailing, and warehousing/ fulfillment services. (Print becomes a value added component within a larger offering.)
Market focus will be B to B and non-profits with targeted niche segments. Position allows participation in determining additional target niches. “Farmers” will not do well in this position. Need strong “Hunter” mentality.
Office can be home based within major metropolitan areas in the Northeast. Travel to NPC is expected for periodical meetings, customer visits, and as necessary.
Compensation is negotiable. Level of compensation will be based on experience, track record, and value of existing/ potential customer base.
Must acquire and stay abreast of NPC’s portfolio as well as learning issues and differentiators within each relevant niche market. Expect to exhibit and participate at relevant conferences and events.
Intelligence on competition, market conditions, customer environment, and other relevant information is required. Information must be entered into CRM software.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to “Hunt” for business.
Ability to assess customers business environment for ways to differentiate NPC.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
Ability to think like a customer, see things through their eyes, and help them.
“Solution selling” based on value.
Work in a collaborative internal environment.
