Doing a customer colour ok during a shiftchange was my worst nightmare. The next shift would come in and adjust the water, the feeder the ink and anything else that had an adjustment knob

Every "Best press operator ever" that I have met was 2nd or 3rd shift. They could smell ink density and kept a 6 pack in the chiller.

Afternoons/nights = less people, less politics and best of all, no hovering sales people.

I could smell them before I seen them, but they sure taught me more about press operation than any youtube video ever did
