Sonora X Plates

Has anyone come up with a good solution to make the tag at the bottom of the Sonora plate more readable.?
It fades away quickly once the plates are bent and waiting be put on the press.

Interesting, so a simple way would be to line up the plates and lightly rub the edge of the plates where the tag is and let them dry before we wrap up the plates to deliver them to the pressroom?

We switched to Sonora Xtra plates and a few months ago. When we were using the Trillian plates we could use a scanner to verify the bar codes on the black plates. Now that we are on Sonora Xtra plates our scanner does not read them anymore. Is there a scanner that can read through the emulsion for lack of better words so we can verify correct barcodes on each job?
