We have combined forces with another print shop. We have gone through G7 but strictly use AM screening at 175 lpi. Our new partners use a hybrid screening called Speckta but have gone through no type of certification process. My question is can this dot be G7 certified or for that matter any Hybrid screening be G7. When we merge together we are going to have a G7 master come in and do our SM52 and our older 105 to get to G7 using AM. I have provided a link to a brief explanation of the Spekta screening.
Problems they are having with this screening is that their proofer can not duplicate it well enough to match the press. Customers come in and want to know why it does not match the proof. Any feedback on this issue would be appreciated.
