Sr Marketing Specialist- Competitive Analysis at Canon Solutions America in Boca Raton, FL

The Sr. Marketing Specialist within the Production Printing Solutions (PPS) organization of Canon Solutions America (CSA) will lead competitive intelligence across the Americas. This role will provide a 360° view of our business from a competitive standpoint helping to better position the organization competitively in the market in order to successfully achieve targeted revenue, metrics, goals and objectives as designated.


Responsibilities include:
Work with all levels of the business including sales, service, professional services and sales operations to develop a 360 degree view of our business from a competitive standpoint including the defining, building and implementation of a competitive marketing plan and strategies that assist driving Canon Solutions Americas Production Print solutions to the market.
Work with marketing analysts and segment marketing to understand current marketing/printing trends and assess how our equipment meets the needs and requirements.
Conduct routine and thorough analyses of competitive equipment which includes:
Identifying marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
Improving product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities. Work with Product Marketing Teams to recommend new product development and product positioning.
Attending trade shows where competitive equipment is shown and demonstrated to gain real time competitive knowledge.
Visit customers who have purchased Canon Solutions America equipment to gain an understanding of why they purchased from CSA.
Visiting customers who have purchased competitive equipment to gain an understanding of why they purchased from a competitive vendor.
Working with internal and external analysts to gain a broad perspective on the market and where our competitors will succeed or fail.
Maintain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities in the market
Work with the Canon Solutions America production sales force to educate them, this includes:
Assisting in pre-sales meetings to provide competitive overview and how to appropriately attack the sale
Working with product managers, solution development executives and valued partners to develop comparison guides and fact sheets on how to sell against our competitors
Providing ongoing education in sales WebEx’s and written materials
Supporting competitive positioning during RFP processes
