Stitching remittance envelopes

We have a mueller-martini stitcher and my guys running it always complain when we get a #6.5 remittance envelope in that has to stitch in. The say that it is too short to get in the grippers. Does anyone know i there an attachment of some kind that we could look at getting to make it easier for them? The say that it is too short to get in the grippers.

I was poking around and noticed this.

We have not found a way to do this, either. We hand-feed at the front of the chain, which is a pain and is slow.
