Stock choices?

Hi all,

What are your staple stocks that you run in your 300 GSM digital machines?

Ours currently are:

Neenan Classic Linen
Lynx Smooth Text 80#
Finch Fine Color Copy 32#
Futura Laser Gloss Text and Cover 80# & 100#
Cougar Digital Smooth Cover 100# and occasionally 110#
KromeKote C2S

The KromKote is very nice but expensive and the sheets tend to stick together and double feed.. Is there a better choice for running nice, heavy, glossy postcards on a 300 GSM digital?

Thanks!
Joe

I've heard of some people running Carolina instead of the Mohawk Color Copy. We used to run KromeKote, but switched over to Mohawk.

I tried out Finch Fine 110# cover and Mohawk Everyday Digital 120# Cover Silk and neither felt any denser than the Lynx 100# Cover. Until Xerox makes a machine in the range of the Versant 80 / C75 / J75 with 350 GSM capabilities, I won't be switching my stocks around too much.

Those are my stocks that I run like water through the machine, but we also stock 4-6 flavors of Mohawk's Loop, Skytone, and several variations of Via's linen, smooth, and laid stocks. We have one client who is obsessed with Superfine, so luckily it's permeating to our other clients. The one thing that sucks is Mohawk doesn't make these stocks in 8.5 x 11" or 12 x 18" in 100# Cover. We can always special order some 26 x 40" and cut it down anyways.

A majority of what we run is Carolina C2S and Willamsburg 70# text.

Looking at trying out some Tango 16pt C2S on the new 7110.

Our house stocks go as followed:

Blazer 80# Gloss Text
Blazer 100# Gloss Text
Blazer 80# Gloss Cover
Blazer 100# Satin Cover
Mohawk 12pt
Cougar 80#
Cougar 100#
Hammermill Color Copy 28#
