Role Description:


The Technical Pre-Sales Specialist (TPSS) primary responsibility is to provide a solid knowledge of the company's offerings and our software product capabilities to prospects. A technical background is required, and an ability to closely follow industry standards, risk, compliance, and policy management is needed. A suitable candidate must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users through demonstrations, evaluations, and conducting product training for prospects and internal stakeholders. Additionally, the TPPS must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the entire sales cycle.


Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the Sales Demo database
• Develop and deliver software product demonstrations
• Present the product to customers/prospects and at field events such as conferences, etc.
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
• Communicate customer requirements to Product Management team
• Create current state and future state Visio diagrams
• Support proof of concepts, evaluations, and pilot projects
• Deliver product training to new clients and business partners
• Travel up to 25%


Skills/Qualifications Required:


• Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a strong desire and ability to learn.
• Candidate must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in verbal and written responses to emails, RFPs, etc.
• Candidate must be organized and analytical, with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
• Candidate must have experience demonstrating software solutions to prospective buyers.
• Candidate must be willing to participate on consulting engagements if necessary.
• 5+ years relevant experience in software pre-sales (print MIS preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineer or a related field is strongly preferred
• Governance, Risk, or Compliance market knowledge a major plus
• Strong communication/presentation skills
• Successful background check by employer is a condition of employment.
