The tilde "~"

In illustrator the tilde comands are replaced by < commands if one has a swedish layout.
I don't know if this is a problem on other languages or on windows.
The bad news is that it doesn't work as tilde (~) in photoshop. On the swedish keyboard the ~ is a compound character on the mac on the option-umlaut ¨, but the character is dependant on the next character, so that ~ and n makes ñ. This means that the key can never be used as a shortcut in it's own right, and so the shortcuts to view channels is just a frustration as there is no shortcut to restore all channels :(.

Lukas,
The tilde is a compound character in US and International English systems as well. While Photoshop's Help lists the keystroke for Display Composite as ~, the actual keystroke on my system is Command + ~. Is your's not the same?

no :( because the character character defaults to a ^ if i don't also hold the option…*it's the distance to spain that is our problem ;P
I guess it is really an Apple issue.
If I use a swedish PS and keyboard then no problem.

workaround is to select just one channel and then create a macro to select the RGB channel with a short cut. That is what I did ;P
