Toggle between documents

Hi, this is my first query on PrintPlanet.
I am still on InDesign CS 3, there didn't seem to be good enough reason for upgrading, but I now have problems with files supplied in CS4. I don't like going back to a client and making my problem theirs! Anyone got ideas when we see CS5?
Question 2 there used to be a shortcut to toggle through the open documents, any body help me here?

Not sure on CS5 but I'm sure it will be before I am ready.

COMMAND+tilde or COMMAND+SHIFT+tilde to toggle open documents.

Thanks Joe!
I don't remember where I found that shortcut in the first place, but it stopped working on my PowerBook 17", then I just forgot it, now woking on a iMac 21.5"
There must be more shortcuts where this one was hidden, anyone any ideas where?

Adobe has a product cycle of 18-24 months. Keep in mind that CS4 was launched Sept 23rd 2008. I would say that we could expect CS5 any time from this summer to late fall.

Cheers.

The keyboard shortcuts are in the InDesign help file.

I would say that when your paying customers start sending CS4 files is a good enough reason to spend the money on an upgrade.

Absolutely!
I just don't want to get caught for two upgrades in a short period of time.
I work from home, and have had a VERY lean period hence no CS4, but it looks like things are picking up, a bit! So I am in that time of limbo. I have been "legal" since I dropped Quark in favour of CS. But have thought of bridging between CS3 and CS5 with cheap OEM software until I can upgrade with Adobe. I know it is not legal, but if Adobe told me it's update plans, I would know whether to wait for a couple of months, or upgrade now and get 6 - 8 months use of CS4.
Any thoughts (not 'knee-jerk' reactions) on this?

I think you are asking the wrong questions in evaluating your upgrade options. Whether CS5 is a month or a year away, pales in importance compared to how many current customers you can properly serve now and how many new ones you can attract by being well equipped to serve them.

In my experience, requesting an inx file from a current or a prospective customer usually makes a very bad impression on them and lessens their confidence in your ability to handle their work.

Expect CS5 to come out within the next couple of months. My volume licensor called me last week to talk about upgrading, so it's coming soon.

If you look at the history of the past several releases of Adobe software, the releases have been every 18 months. CS4 was released in October of 08, this would put the next release in April, if they stick to their 18 month release schedule.
