Toner leakage Versant 180

Hi all,

We are having quite a large deposit of Yellow toner leak from what seems to be the developer unit in our Versant 180, I have cleaned around it but am cautious about cleaning the unit itself as I am not 100% sure what I would need to do.
Can I ask, I know most machines have a special developer powder in said units, does the Versant have this and is it something I need to replace? We are not in a service contract with the machine so all maintenance etc is done in house currently.

Would anyone happen to have a video or instruction about cleaning it?

The place you most likely need to clean the toner from is inside the mylar baffle under the dev housing. Once your dev housing starts to leak the mylar catches the toner, once the toner fills the mylar it will literally rain on your parade (i.e. Prints). Vacuum out the mylar.

Hard to see the mylar because its clear, but its under neath the dev roller:

Two potential causes for your Dev housing to leak... either the cap is not fully clipped on, or the housing is worn out. Check to make sure the clips are snapped into the housing, you just need to press down on them:

If the Dev housing itself is worn out and leaking, it needs replaced. I don't have instructions on how to do so.
