Using Power layout and stepping multiple versions

Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to step multiple one-up files using Power layout. For example, I have a job that has 15 different versions and all use the same stepping info. Is there a way to step all files at once without going into each individual .ai file? Right now I am opening each .ai file and using power layout for every version. I have some large jobs coming up with hundreds of versions so figured there may be a quicker way to step?

It might be possible with scripting. But i'm not good enough to be able to give any advice on that.
Power Layout for illustrator is not an automated step & repeat solution.
You should have a look at Automation Engine, that's the tool that will step & repeat automatically.
It can be based on formulas, templates or cad.
